We are very excited to have our students back in the studio for the spring season, and look forward to meeting new students!​

 

Art education is not just for people to become artists, but to become creative, be able to see things from a different perspective, and be self-confident, well-rounded, and balanced human beings. Thank you for trusting and supporting ArtSpace 4U to be in your and your children's lives!

Class Schedule

 

Painting/Drawing (Age 7-8, Beginners)

Monday 3:50 pm - 4:50 pm

Ages: 7-8

Level: Beginner

Tuition: $315/11 week

Instructor: Jin Chong

​

In this class, students will continue to focus on developing and enhancing their skills and techniques. Students will learn various observational drawing and painting techniques, 2-point and 3-point perspective, value, volume, texture, and composition. The introductory art history (surrealism and Asian 4 gentlemen Style painting in this session), and theories will be included depending on the classes.

 

Registration is available for any new and existing students. Previous art class experience is required for this class. Continuing students are requested to bring their own watercolor tubes and palettes.

Tuesday 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Ages: 9-10

Level: Intermediate

Tuition: $378/11 week

Instructor: Jin Chong

Students in this class will focus on developing and enhancing their skills and techniques. This class introduces students to classical and contemporary art and various concepts emphasizing understanding its formal language and the fundamentals of art. Students will be learning visual elements and composition, as well as creative development of techniques and utilizing various media. The introductory art historical lecture and lessons will be included.

 

All materials will be provided.

Painting/Drawing for Teens (Age 13+, Intermediate)

Thursday 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Ages: 13+

Level: Advanced

Tuition: $378/11 week

Instructor: Jin Chong

​

This class is designed for teens and high schoolers who have experience in a studio program. We will emphasize enhancing their solid skills and techniques while utilizing various media (watercolor, oil paint, charcoal, pencil, pastel, etc.) and concept. This advanced class will continue working on perspective, composition, volume, value, and texture. Students will work on representative, non-representative, traditional, and contemporary concepts. In this session, collage and three-dimensional work will be added. 

 

Students will begin planning and start preparing their college portfolio. We will work on refining their skills, bring out each individual's strength, and make each work a "completed" piece of artwork. 

 

Students need to have their watercolor tube paints, oil paint tubes, and pallets. All other materials will be provided.

Young Artists Class

Thursday 3:50 pm - 4:50 pm

Ages: 6-7

Level: Beginner

Tuition: $315/11 week

Instructor: Jin Chong


This class is a great introduction to the creative art world for young artists. Various concepts and styles such as the introduction of observational skills, learning how to visualize their feelings and imagination, color study, and basic composition studies are inspired by the master artists. In this session, students will learn art nouveau style and Gustav Kimpt. Also, students will be taught how to utilize and have fun by using various materials.

Digital Art & Graphic Design

Wednesday 3:45 pm - 5:00 pm

Ages: 10+

Level: Beginner

Tuition: $315/11 week

Instructor: Amelia Markey

​

In this class, students will work in digital design software and learn the basics of editing and collageing digital photos, creating vector logos, and laying out long-format text in magazine layouts. Students will gain an appreciation for typography and design history, as well as how to use design to communicate and to problem-solve. We will work in both digital and physical media to see our designs come to life as a finished object.

​

Students must bring their devices (iPad, tablet, or laptop). Internet access in the studio will not be needed for this class.​

​

Fashion Design & Sewing

Wednesday 3:45 pm - 5:00 pm

Ages: 8+

Level: Beginner

Tuition: $xxx/11 week

Instructor: Bina Resnick

​

Students will learn/utilize hand sewing and an introductory lesson on using a sewing machine. Experienced students are welcome too. Students will design patterns and styles to make decorative pillows (favorite character), totes, quilts, accessory boards, doll and me clothes, and more!  

 

All materials will be included.

*All art materials included except Teen & Tween’s class's watercolor tube paints and palettes.

Payment Policy

Payment options are available in our registration form and our invoices. 

​

The tuition payment should be made for the entire session. Make-up classes will be available for the missing classes during the session. There will be no refund once registration is confirmed. ArtSpace 4U will issue a credit if the student cannot attend to the session.
