12-week Session for children, tweens, and teens

10-week Session for Adult Classes

All classes are very structured, hands-on studio art courses that are taught by artists with master's degrees in art, experience in the field, and education. As we keep our class size small or low teacher/student ratio, we will continue individualized lessons for all skill levels and ages. We welcome new students. There are some changes in the class schedule in the new session.




2023 Fall Session Schedule

Monday 3:45 pm - 5:15 pm: Painting/Drawing 

For ages 8 -10, Intermediate, $480/12 week

Instructor: Jin Chong

Registration is available for any new and existing students. Some art class experience is required for this class. 

Monday's class will introduce a creative development of techniques and utilize various media for new students. Continuing students will continue to focus on developing and enhancing their skills and techniques. Students will learn various drawing and shading techniques, with lots of opportunities to explore personal imagination and conduct artistic experimentation. The introductory art history and theories will be included depending on the classes.

 All materials are provided (except, continuing students may be requested to bring their own watercolor tubes and pallets.)


Monday 5:45 pm - 6:45 pm: Young artists' class 

For ages 5-7, $396/12 week

Instructor: Jin Chong

This will be a great introduction to the creative art world for young artists. Various concepts and styles such as the introduction of observational skills, learning how to visualize their feelings and imagination, color study, and basic composition studies that are inspired by the master artists. Also, students will be taught how to utilize and have fun by using various materials.

All materials are provided.



Tuesday 3:45 pm - 5:15 pm: Painting/Drawing 

For ages 7 - 10, Beginners, $480/12 week

Instructor: Jin Chong

Registration is available for new and existing students. 

Tuesday's classes introduce students to classical and contemporary art and a variety of concepts emphasizing understanding its formal language and the fundamentals of art. Students will be learning visual elements and composition, as well as creative development of techniques and utilizing various media. The introductory art historical lessons will be included depending on the classes. 

All materials are provided.



Tuesday 5:30 pm- 7:30 pm: Fine Art Class for Teens 

A class for teens and high school students,  ages 14-18: $540/12 week

Hands-on studio art course for teens and high school students with somewhat experience in the visual arts. This course is designed for students who want to develop and/or refine their skills in drawing and painting. This class will also be the perfect prep class for those considering applying to art colleges in the future. Students will work on representational and non-representational art.  The curriculum includes observational work, such as self-portraits and still-life painting and drawing, works from their creative imagination and self-expression inspired by surrealism, and perspective practice in still-life and landscape drawing. Art theories and art history will be discussed throughout the session. Students may be requested to bring their own watercolor tube paints and pallets. 

Students are requested to bring their own watercolor tube paints and pallets (oil paints for future sessions). All other materials are provided.





Wednesday 12:30 pm - 2:15 pm: Adults’ Class

Instructor: Jin Chong

$380/10 week (no class on the week of 11/7 and Thanksgiving week)

This adult class introduces students to classical and contemporary art as well as a variety of concepts in art. No matter what we are painting: still-life, family portrait, abstract, stencils & crafts, or experimental fun-based art; the time while you are in the studio will be simply therapeutic and will also give artists time for self-expression to bring out their inner creative minds.

All materials are provided.


Wednesday 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm: Young artists' class

For ages 6-7, $396/12 week

 As most of our Wednesday class students are continuing students, we will level up our artistic expressions and skills to proceed to the next step! We will learn and practice observation skills, and compositions, and enhance drawing skills and techniques while utilizing various materials. 

All materials are provided.


Wednesday 5 pm - 7 pm: Adult Class: Oil Painting & Drawing

Instructor: Oscar Peterson 

$380/10 week (no class on the week of 11/7 and Thanksgiving week)

This class focuses on traditional drawing and painting techniques. Working with graphite, charcoal, and oil paint, students learn the basic structural form, variations of light and shadow, and how to achieve vibrant, realistic images of portraits, still-life, and landscape paintings. This all-level class is great for beginners, as well as those with years of experience.

Students need to bring their own oil paints and oils. All other materials (canvas, brushes, etc.) will be provided.



Thursday 4:00 pm- 5:00 pm: Young Artists Class

For ages 5-6, $396/12 week 

This will be a great introduction to the creative art world for young artists. Various concepts and styles such as the introduction of observational skills, learning how to visualize their feelings and imagination, color study, and basic composition studies that are inspired by the master artists. Also, students will be taught how to utilize and have fun by using various materials.

All materials are provided.




Thursday 5:15 pm- 6:45 pm: Painting/Drawing for Tweens

An advanced class for tweens, age 11-14: $480/12 week

Thursday's class will emphasize enhancing their skills with creative development of techniques while utilizing various media. Students will work on representative, non-representative, traditional, and contemporary concepts. 

Students may be requested to bring their own watercolor tube paints and pallets. All other materials are provided.


Friday 3:45 pm - 5:15 pm: Illustration/Character Drawing

For ages 8 and up, $420/12 week 

Instructor: Brian Rosenberger

This class is perfect for the ones who love drawing, comics, and storytelling and would like to learn how to develop characters. Students will create their own visual interpretations of a chosen text while focusing on storytelling developing a personal visual form, and creative development of techniques. 

All materials are provided.  


Saturday 10 am - 12 pm: Adult Class: Oil Painting & Drawing

$380/10 week (no class on the week of 11/7 and Thanksgiving week)

*The studio will be closed during the week of

11/7  (Monday and Tuesday class runs regular schedule on 11/6 and 11/7, as a make-up  for 10/9  and 10/31)

Thanksgiving week break from 11/20-11/24 (Makeup classes will be scheduled on 11/20 and 11/21)


*All art materials are included except Teen&Tween’s class's watercolor tube paints, and oil painting tubes for adults’ classes.


*Payment policy

The tuition payment should be made for the entire session. Make-up classes will be available for the missing classes during the session. There will be no refund once registration is confirmed. ArtSpace 4U will issue a credit if the student cannot make it to the session. 


*Discounts

$40.00 discount if registered for more than one class
$25.00 siblings’ discount
