2024 Fall Session Registration Information
There will be some schedule changes so please check before signing up!
We have awesome news, we are opening a Fashion Design & Sewing Class on Fridays and reopening the adult oil painting class on Saturdays!
There will be no class on 10/14 (Columbus/Indigenous Day). Monday's classes will have a makeup day on 11/4.
No regular class on the week of 11/5-11/9. We will run the mini-camp on that week.
Thanksgiving week break from 11/25-11/30 (Makeup classes will run 11/25 and 11/26 for the students who missed class

2024 Fall Session Class Schedule
Monday 3:45 pm - 4:45 pm: Young artists' class
For ages 6-8, $408/12 week
Instructor: Jin Chong
This class is a great introduction to the creative art world for young artists. Various concepts and styles such as the introduction of observational skills, learning how to visualize their feelings and imagination, color study, and basic composition studies are inspired by the master artists. In this session, students will learn art nouveau style and Gustav Kimpt. Also, students will be taught how to utilize and have fun by using various materials.
Monday 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm: Painting/Drawing
For ages 9-11, Intermediate, $480/12 week
Instructor: Jin Chong
Registration is available for any new and existing students. Previous art class experience is required for this class.
Monday's class students will continue to focus on developing and enhancing their skills and techniques. Students will learn various observational drawing and painting techniques, 2-point and 3-point perspective, value, volume, texture, and composition. The introductory art history (surrealism and Asian 4 gentlemen Style painting in this session), and theories will be included depending on the classes. ArtSpace 4U's signature season-related project, the "Harvest" work will be introduced.
Continuing students are requested to bring their own watercolor tubes and pallets.
Tuesday 3:45 pm - 5:15 pm: Painting/Drawing
For ages 8-10, $480/12 week
Instructor: Jin Chong
Tuesday's Painting/Drawing classes introduce students to classical and contemporary art and various concepts emphasizing understanding its formal language and the fundamentals of art. Students will be learning visual elements and composition, as well as creative development of techniques and utilizing various media. The introductory art historical lecture and lessons will be included.
All materials will be provided.

Tuesday 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm: Young artists' class
For ages 6-8, $408/12 week

Wednesday 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm: Adult Class: Oil Painting & Drawing
Instructor: Oscar Peterson
$400/10 week
This class focuses on traditional drawing and painting techniques. Working with graphite, charcoal, and oil paint, students learn the basic structural form, variations of light and shadow, and how to achieve vibrant, realistic images of portraits, still-life, and landscape paintings. This all-level class is great for beginners and experienced individuals.
Students need to bring their oil paints and oils. The instruction will be given. All other materials (canvas, brushes, etc.) will be provided.

Thursday 5:30 pm- 7:00 pm: Painting/Drawing for Teens
An advanced class for teens, 12 and up: $480/12 week
Thursday's class will emphasize enhancing their skills and techniques while utilizing various media. In this session, students will try out oil paintings thi. Students do not need to bring materials that will be provided as an introduction. We will continue working on the perspective, composition, volume, value, and texture. Students will work on representative, non-representative, traditional, and contemporary concepts. Students need to have their watercolor tube paints and pallets. All other materials will be provided.

Friday 4:30 pm- 6:00 pm: Fashion Design & Sewing
Instructor: Bina Resnick
For ages 8 and up, $480/12 week
Students will learn/utilize hand sewing and an introductory lesson to use a sewing machine. Experienced students are welcome too.
Students will design patterns and styles to make decorative pillows, totes, quilts, and maybe their clothes and more!
All materials will be included.

Saturday 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM: Illustration/Drawing & Mixed Media
Instructor: Brian Rosenberger
For ages 8 and up, $444/12 week
This class is perfect for those who love drawing, comics, and storytelling and would like to learn how to develop characters. Students will create their visual interpretations of a chosen text while focusing on storytelling, developing a personal visual form, and creatively developing techniques.
All materials will be provided.
*Also, we will create season-related projects in addition to our curricula.
*All art materials included except Teen & Tween’s class's watercolor tube paints and pallets, and oil paint tubes for adults’ classes.
*Payment policy
Payment options are available in our registration form and our invoices.
The tuition payment should be made for the entire session. Make-up classes will be available for the missing classes during the session. There will be no refund once registration is confirmed. ArtSpace 4U will issue a credit if the student cannot attend to the session.
